Prime Video adapts Anne Holt’s ‘1222’ in Nordics with Nordic Drama Queens
Prime Video has ordered an adaptation of Anne Holt’s crime novel 1222 from Fifth Season-backed Nordic Drama Queens and Amazon MGM Studios.
Blind Spot is being written by Sara Heldt (Sandhamn Murders) and Erik Skjoldberg (Occupied), with Prime Video taking rights in the Nordics.
The four-parter will debut on the streamer in early 2025, with Fifth Season selling the show elsewhere.
Skjoldberg is also directing all four episodes of the series, with Sandra Harms producing for Nordic Drama Queens. Executive producers are Line Winther Skyum Funch and Josefine Tengblad, with Holt and Niclas Salomonsson.
The show will track the novel’s lead character, a suspended detective named Hanne Wilhelmsen, who investigates a series of murders that occur in a hotel following a storm.
Ida Engvoll (Love And Anarchy) leads the cast, supported by Pål Sverre Hagen (Exit), Kjell Bergqvist (Bäckström) and Sissela Kyle (Fröken Frimans Krig).
