Prime Video in the UK and Ireland has picked up a true crime feature exploring the death of Sandra Rivett from Woodcut Media.

The Murder of Sandra Rivett (1 x 90 minutes) goes back to 1974, when an aristocratic household was at war in London with Lord and Lady Lucan at loggerheads over the custody of their children.

The doc explores what happened to Rivett, who was a newly employed nanny for the household.

Distributor Abacus Media Rights (AMR) is handling worldwide sales and will be presenting the documentary to buyers at MIPTV next month.

Executive producers are Nick Mavroidakis and Kate Beal, producer is Madeline Chiari and Matt Blyth serves as editor. The documentary is directed by Jenny Williams.

Mavroidakis said: “This is one of the most famous murder mysteries of the 20th Century. Up until this point the focus of the story has been on Lord Lucan. In this feature documentary our aim is to return the narrative to the forgotten story of the victim – of Sandra herself. This year is 50 years since the tragic loss of this young woman and we want to mark that.”
