Banijay Germany is expanding its scripted muscle with the launch of a new joint venture with the producers of Helgoland 513.

Founded and led by Veronica Priefer and Johannes Kunkel, Berlin-based Dynamic Ally Pictures will focus on developing, packaging and distributed scripted content for the German and international market.

Priefer and Kunkel have been working together since 2017, with the pair having exclusively developed and produced multiple projects for UFA Fiction, including two seasons of the historical RTL+ series, The King Of Palma, which they created.

Kunkel also produced Netflix comedy Betonrausch, which made it to number one in the German Netflix charts, while duo serve as executive producers of dystopian series Helgoland 513, which premiered on Sky Deutschland this year.

Dynamic Ally joins Banijay Germany’s portfolio of production labels, including scripted firm MadeFor Productions, led by Nanni Erben and Gunnar Juncken, which is behind titles such as long-running series Tatort, LGBTQIA+ love story Loving Her and Then You Run, produced in association with UK label Kudos for Sky.
