Great Point Media founder Jim Reeve dies, aged 64

Great Point Media founder and chairman Jim Reeve has died suddenly, aged 64.

Reeve produced a raft of shows before working as an investment exec at Ingeniuous Group.

He went on to found Great Point Media with Robert Halmi Jr in 2013, producing and financing more than 400 TV series and films.

The company has also invested in production companies such as Little Door Productions, whose drama The Way recently debuted on the BBC.

Great Point Media said: “It is with profound sadness that Great Point must confront the sudden and unexpected loss of our founder, mentor and friend, Jim Reeve, who passed away on Tuesday, 27 February, 2024.

“Jim had a storied career in the entertainment business spanning 40 years, and his passing will be mourned by a great many.

“Our thoughts are with Jim’s family most of all during this incredibly difficult time.”
