Amazon MGM Studios promotes Anaïs Baker to head of global formats

Amazon MGM Studios has promoted Anaïs Baker to head of global formats, following the exit of former formats chief CJ Yu last year.

Los Angeles-based Baker, who previously served as senior unscripted creative executive of global formats, joined the company in 2021 from BBC Worldwide, where she was a commissioning editor for BBC Brit and BBC Lifestyle and exec producer of content partnerships.

Prior to that, she spent five years at NBCUniversal as director of international format production and development, working on international versions of unscripted formats such as Hollywood Game Night, Still Standing, Top Chef and The Real Housewives.

In her new role, Baker will seek out new formats with international potential and work with Amazon MGM Studios teams worldwide to develop projects based on Amazon-owned IP, such as LOL: Last One Laughing and All Or Nothing.
