NBCUniversal Latin America has acquired both the first season of Peacock’s US version of Dutch reality format The Traitors and Optomen’s two-part doc The Kardashians: A Billion Dollar Dynasty, following a deal with distributor All3Media International.

Produced by Studio Lambert, the second season of The Traitors recently debuted on the US streaming service. Set in a remote castle in the Scottish Highlands with Scottish-born actor and presenter Alan Cumming, celebrities and civilians come together to complete a series of challenges with the objective of earning a cash prize of up to $250,000.

The twist on this reality show is that three contestants will be coined traitors whilst the others are faithfuls. The traitors will have to steal the prize from the others and eliminate fellow contestants without being found out.

Created in the Netherlands by All3Media-backed IDTV, The Traitors format was further developed with the RTL Creative Unit and originally produced by IDTV for RTL4.

Yari Torres, VP Latin America at All3Media International, said: “The dramatic, addictive, immersive world of The Traitors offers perfect viewing for audiences across the region and I’m thrilled that NBC Universal are our first partner to bring The Traitors to Latin America.”

Meanwhile, The Kardashians: A Billion Dollar Dynasty, explores how the family became one of the world’s most recognised brands, changed the face of social media and achieved stratospheric wealth, with contributors including The Hills reality TV Stars Heidi and Spencer Pratt, former People Magazine editor-in-chief Larry Hacket, and E! co-founder Larry Namer.

“This is an illuminating, engrossing documentary offering a fascinatingly fresh insight into The Kardashian brand, which is one of the most identifiable brands in Latin America,” added Torres.
