Amazon orders ‘Malice’, UK original with David Duchovny & Jack Whitehall
Amazon has ordered Malice, a new UK original drama for streaming service Prime Video, starring David Duchovny, Jack Whitehall and Carice van Houten.
The psychological thriller is being written and exec produced by James Wood (The Great, Rev) and the series is a co-production between Expectation Entertainment and Tailspin Films.
Malice will tell the story of a young man (Bad Education & Good Omens star Whitehall) who seeks to infiltrate the world of a wealthy family, headed by Duchovny (The X-Files, Californication) and van Houten (Game Of Thrones, Dangerous Liaisons).
Expectation Entertainment is behind entertainment titles including Clarkson’s Farm and Dynamo Is Dead, as well as scripted productions such as The Chelsea Detective and Alma’s Not Normal.
Variety was the first to report on Malice, with news of the commission following big restructures at Amazon with hundreds of jobs being cut.
