The Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) has expanded the Taiwan’s International Co-funding Programme (TICP) to create further collaboration with the global industry.

The revamped TICP 2.0 fund, which provides investment to encourage projects with “significant Taiwanese elements”, has increased the investment ceiling from 30% to 49 for projects with a “higher concentration” of Taiwanese elements.

TAICCA has also removed the original investment limit of NT$300,000 for a single project to allow creators to obtain more financial support and to “facilitate the establishment of internationally significant investment projects in Taiwan.”

The agency is also looking to increase the international visibility of Taiwanese content by investing in a more diverse range of works, from the original targets of small to medium-sized films, to also include documentaries and TV series.

“This program aims to closely align with international market investment patterns and meet the actual needs of industry participants, facilitating investment projects on a larger scale and supporting the production of diverse content. The goal is to increase collaboration opportunities between Taiwan and the international community, promoting Taiwanese talents and works on the global stage,” said TAICCA.

The original International Co-funding Program (TICP) has invested in 37 projects, including the film The Last Queen, co-produced by Taiwan, France and Algeria, and For My Country, co-produced by Taiwan and France.
