Zee & Sony alum joins India’s Swastik Productions to oversee digital push
Swastik Productions, the indie outfit behind Colors TV’s Chand Jalne Laga and Sony’s Shrimad Ramayan, has hired former Zee Entertainment and Sony exec Manish Agarvwal to lead its digital push.
Agarvwal will become head of digital, marcom & special projects at the prodco, with a remit to form new partnerships and expand its digital efforts.
He reports into Swastik founder Siddharth Kumar Tewarym and joins from Zee Entertainment, where he worked on Hindi movies and more recently was VP & head of marketing for Zee Zest.
Agarvwal has also had stints at Loktantra Mediatech, Times Television Network, Star TV Network and Sony Pictures Networks Distribution India.
Tewary said: “[Agarvwal’s] qualified experience in the digital domain brings valuable insights to Swastik Productions. As we embark on a journey of continued growth and innovation, we look forward to simultaneously thriving in the digital landscape, as we do in television.”
