Fox Entertainment Studios has made three new appointments, including naming former Paramount Network exec Ted Gold as SVP of development.

The firm, which is the in-house scripted production unit for Fox Entertainment and produces titles including Animal Control, has also appointed Paramount Television Studios alum Julie Schwachenwald as SVP & head of scripted production, while also promoting animation exec Khoby Rowe to VP of development.

Based in LA, Gold and Schwachenwald report to Fox Entertainment scripted programing president Michael Thorn, while Rowe reports to Gold.

Gold was SVP of original programming at Paramount Network, where he helped to develop shows including Yellowstone and Waco. This will be his second tenure at Fox, having previously served as SVP of series development, working on titles such as Prison Break and Bones.

Schwachenwald was formerly SVP of physical production at Paramount Television Studios, working on titles including Fatal Attraction for Paramount+ and Cross for Amazon streamer Prime Video. Prior to that, she held the same position at Skydance Television, working on shows such as Grace And Frankie and Reacher.

Rowe, meanwhile, is promoted from her role as VP of animation for Fox Entertainment, where she helped develop adult animations Krapopolis and Grimsburg.

“In strategically building out Fox Entertainment Studios, we’ve been diligent in surveying the landscape to develop creator and producer-friendly models that embrace both our content and business objectives,” said Thorn, whose division last week commissioned crime thriller Murder In A Small Town.

“Ted, Julie and Khoby are a seasoned team with deep relationships throughout the global community that give us a strong foundation to evolve our business as it continues to grow.”
