Movistar Plus+ has struck deals that will see it offering shows from Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD)’s streamer Max and SkyShowtime, the European service backed by Paramount and NBCUniversal.

The Max deal will see Movistar Plus+ customers gaining access to the service in Spain when it launches this spring, with the agreement also extending the current agreement over linear networks.

That means Movistar+ Plus will continue to be home to WBD’s linear networks Warner TV, TCM, Discovery Channel, Eurosport, and CNN.

The deal is the second announced this week for WBD, which struck a pact to offer Max with Vodafone España from next year.

Alessandro Araimo, MD of WBD Southern Europe, said: “Spain represents one of the key territories for Warner Bros. Discovery and the partnership with an operator like Movistar is a crucial factor for the continued solid and steady growth of our streaming business internationally.”

Movistar Plus+ has also agreed a new multi-year agreement with SkyShowtime, start February.

That deal will see SkyShowtime’s programming, as well as theatrical releases from Paramount and Universal, being included in the Ficción miMovistar package.

Access to SkyShowtime’s content will be integrated as part of the platform’s main navigation and available on-demand. A new dedicated SkyShowtime linear channel will be launched featuring its new releases, films, and series.

Monty Sarhan, CEO of SkyShowtime, saidf the pact “demonstrates the importance and strength of partnerships and how we can work together to drive value for our respective businesses.”

Among the titles coming to Movistar Plus+ will be Yellowstone, Tulsa King and Special Ops: Lioness.
