Fox & ‘The Cleaning Lady’ star Oliver Hudson strike production pact
Fox Entertainment has struck a deal with The Cleaning Lady star Oliver Hudson to create and produce shows with the US network.
The broadcast direct deal will see Hudson and producing partner John Stalberg develop comedy and drama projects for Fox with Fox Entertainment, which will fully own and distribute series created under the agreement.
Michael Thorn, president of scripted at Fox Entertainment, said the deal would allow his company “to build on our relationship with him and tap into his intense creativity” to create shows together.
Hudson added: “I have been lucky enough to work in front of the camera with Michael Thorn and his team and am now looking forward to collaborating with them to bring my ideas to life with Fox, a network that’s unafraid to push the boundaries to tell stories that entertain and dig into the complexities and quirks of the human condition.”
Hudson, who starred for two seasons on Fox’s The Cleaning Lady, is already separately developing animated comedy Daddy Issues with Joe Buck. Fox’s Bento Box Entertainment is producing.
Fox has struck numerous deals with talent over recent months, including Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, filmmaker Rodney Rothman, producers Carol Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz, and writer Matt Nix.
