BritBox Int’l promotes execs & sets up global editorial team
BritBox International is setting up a new global editorial team based out of London, New York and Sydney, to expand and drive the streamer’s commissioning and acquisitioning strategy.
As a result, execs Robert Schildhouse and Kerry Ball, will expand their remits.
New York-based former ViacomCBS and Hulu exec Schildhouse, who joined in October 2022 to oversee operations in the US and Canada, will now also be taking on the additional role of global group editorial, responsible for editorial & programming strategy.
London-based Ball, meanwhile, will take on the new role of chief commercial & strategy officer, with increased focus on strategy and research alongside her commercial and business development remit.
Having previously handled acquisitions for the company as chief acquisitions & commercial officer, she will hand this side of her role to Schildhouse and the editorial team.
The team restructure comes alongside two new hires for the company, with Nimesh Kataria will be joining as chief financial officer from April 2024.
Kataria joins from Warner Bros. Discovery, where he was GVP finance, international sport and prior to that held roles at Discovery Networks in international content as well as financial director of the UK & Ireland business.
Alana McGaughey meanwhile joins as VP of global PR & comms based from Netflix, where she launched publicity campaigns for series including Ozark and All The Light We Cannot See.
