Endemol Shine Boomdog appoints Javier Pérez Teuffer as COO amid exec rejig
La Casa De Los Famosos México producer Endemol Shine Boomdog has restructured its top executive team, with Javier Pérez Teuffer named COO and Frank Scheuermann taking on the company’s top unscripted role.
Teuffer will lead entertainment production, operations and legal, while exec director of unscripted production Julia Tradd and her team will also report into him.
Teuffer, who was most recently SVP of operations & business affairs,joined the Banijay-owned company following spells at Sony’s Teleset México.
Scheuermann, meanwhile, becomes unscripted chief content officer and will oversee all activities related to current content and development, including formulating content strategies and increasing sales.
He was previously SVP & head of unscripted, with credits on shows such as ¿Quién es la Máscara? and Me Caigo de Risa, as well as local remakes of formats including Bake Off, Survivor and Got Talent.
The rejig will also see Adrián Sáenz become operations executive director, retaining their remit across operations and facilities, but also communications, new business and digital. Sáenz continues to report to Teuffer.
Alejandro Rincón, CEO of Endemol Shine Boomdog, described the changes as “an important step for our growth and development as a company.”
Endemol Shine Boomdog is behind Los 50, the Telemundo-bound remake of the French reality competition format, while La Casa de los Famosos México claims to have reached over 530 million people since its premiere on 4 June.
