Yellow Film & TV’s Irish prodco Newgrange hires Wild Atlantic’s Ali Doyle & Joan Lambe
Irish prodco Newgrange Pictures, part of Finland’s Yellow Film & TV, has hired Wild Atlantic Pictures exec Ali Doyle as its head of development and Joan Lambe as its new head of business affairs.
Doyle has most recently been working with Wildcard as development producer on Kneecap and before that led the Wild Atlantic development slate across film & TV.
She also spent time in LA as sales coordinator & development exec at Voltage Pictures and reports into Newgrange founder Jackie Larkin and Yellow’s CEO Olli Haikka.
Lambe, meanwhile, will work with Larkin across the existing development slate and seek new projects with both emerging and established talent.
She will also assist in securing commissions with broadcasters and developing possible co-production opportunities.
Lambe comes from a production accounting background having worked for the last 15 years across various shows for the likes of MGM, HBO, Netflix, Disney, Sky and Amazon Studios.
The appointments come two years since Larkin started working with Yellow, with Newgrange becoming part of Yellow Film & TV earlier this year.
“Due to the recent lull in the market following an unstable summer of strikes and general slowdown in the business, the growth plan had to be put on hold,” said Larkin. “But we’re in this for the long game and have seen these peaks and troughs before.
“I am so excited to bring these two amazing women to join the team here in Newgrange. Joan has a wealth of experience in productions at all budget levels and a real insight into what it takes to steer a sustainable production company.
“Ali brings fantastic creative energy to the group and her vast knowledge of development and her relationships with talent both experienced and up and coming is a real bonus.”
