Swedish scripted prodco Yellow Bird has appointed FLX’s Elin Kvist as VP and creative director.

Kvist will join the Banijay Nordic-owned firm in January 2024 from Stockholm-based FLX, where she has spent the past three years as head of drama at the firm behind titles such as The Dark Heart, Blinded and Surburbia. Prior to FLX, Kvist spent six years at Swedish broadcaster TV4, rising to become head of drama development.

Yellow Bird is behind titles include corporate thriller Headhunters, for CMore, crime drama Bäckström, and Threesome. The company also produced the Millennium Trilogy, Occupied, Rebecca Martinsson and more than 30 Wallander films.

Jakob Feeney, who was promoted to CEO at Yellow Bird in October last year, commented: “Elin’s appointment marks the next step in Yellow Bird’s evolution. There have never been higher expectations on us as producers, both from broadcasters and audiences across platforms, to deliver scripted content with a wide reach that leaves a lasting impact. With Elin joining Yellow Bird, she brings the energy and vision to elevate our scripted slate in Sweden and internationally to the next level.”
