Genie TV & Disney+ Japan to launch ‘Tell Me That You Love Me’ remake
South Korean streaming service Genie TV and Disney+ in Japan are launching a Korean remake of Japanese drama Tell Me That You Love Me next week.
The show, which is based upon the series that was first broadcast on TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting System) in Japan in 1995, will debut on KT-owned Genie TV on 27 November as well pay-TV channel ENA, and will also be available for streaming on Disney+ in Japan.
The 16-part series follows the story of an aspiring aspiring young actress and an up-and-coming painter who has lost his sense of hearing, and the love that develops between them.
In this Korean remake, the role of artist, Cha Jin-woo, is portrayed by Jung Woo-sung, who starred in A Moment to Remember, while the aspiring actress, Jeong Moo-eun, is portrayed by Shin Hyun-been, who appeared in Hospital Playlist.
Produced by KT’s Studio Genie, the series was written by Kim Min-jung (Love in the Moonlight) and directed by Kim Yoon-jin (Our Beloved Summer).
