London TV Screenings organisers unveil 2024 schedule & record number of distributors
The London TV Screenings has unveiled its schedule for 2024 and confirmed it will attract more distributors than ever before, alongside founding members Fremantle, All3Media International, Banijay and ITV Studios (ITVS).
The event, which welcomed more than 500 buyers in 2023, runs 26 February to Friday 1 March and will welcome 29 distributors next year, including US-headquartered firms such as Fox Entertainment Global, Paramount Global Content Distribution and Warner Bros. International Television Production.
Other confirmed distributors include: Abacus Media Rights, Beta Film, Blue Ant Media, BossaNova Media, Cineflix Rights, DCD Rights, Dogwoof, Eccho Rights, Federation Studios, Fifth Season, Hat Trick International, Keshet International, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal Formats, Newen Connect, Off the Fence, Passion Distribution, Red Arrow Studios International, Sony Pictures Television, Studiocanal, TVF International and Viaplay Content Distribution.
Scripted, unscripted and format buyers events will be on offer, alongside screenings of upcoming shows and talent panels.
The London TV Screenings grew out of BBC Studios Showcase, which attracted hundreds of buyers to the UK each year to watch upcoming shows and meet talent. That event will again be held in London and will run 26-27 February in 2024.
Fremantle, All3Media International, Banijay and ITVS launched The London TV Screenings in 2021, following years of informal meetings and screenings with international buyers who were in the UK following Showcase.
The first formally branded and co-ordinated London TV Screenings took place online as a result of the pandemic and moved to a physical event in 2022.
Its 2023 iteration was opened up to a raft of new companies, attracting 28 studios and distributors that represented an 87% increase on the 2022 edition.
“The London TV Screenings 2024 is set to be even bigger than the 2023 event, which is no mean feat in these challenging times,” said organisers.
“Having been a ‘must-attend’ for London-headquartered distributors for many years, the event is now warmly welcoming more participants from overseas, so it is really becoming a pivotal moment in the calendar that will continue to grow and evolve from one year to the next.”
