France’s W9 ties knot with Banijay’s Israeli format ‘Save The Date’
M6 Group’s French channel W9 has ordered a local version of Israeli format Save The Date.
The show, which will be produced by Banijay Productions France, tracks singles who set a date for their wedding and must then find a partner to marry.
The format was created by Endemol Shine Israel and first produced by Endemol Shine Finland, with the French version marking the fourth iteration of the dating social experiment internationally.
The show prevoiously debuted on Vox in Germany, having been produced by Endemol Shine Germany.
Florence Fayard, CEO of Banijay Productions, said the show “promises an extraordinary human, life-changing and emotionally-charged experience, as singles passionately pursue finding their dream partner to marry.”
Lucas Green, Banijay’s chief content officer for operations, said the show “proves the appetite for love and dating formats continues.”
