BBC appoints ex-BBC News exec Jess Brammar to Charlotte Moore’s content board

Jess Brammar

The BBC has named Jess Brammar to a key editorial role working with content chief Charlotte Moore across its TV output.

Brammar becomes editorial executive of BBC content and will work within Moore’s division work across all genres of TV, as well as children’s and education, sport and radio.

She replaces Rachel Jupp, who is moving to Washington DC with family, according to UK news agency PA.

Brammar was previously head of BBC News channels, a role that Paul Royall has taken up in the interim as the organisation looks for a full time replacement.

Brammar is best known for combining the broadcaster’s domestic BBC News channel and its international equivalent BBC World News into a single entity, which was rolled out in April.

She previously worked as editor-in-chief at the HuffPost UK and Wass editor of BBC Two show Newsnight.
