Former Starz int’l chief Superna Kalle lands at Oz gaming firm Aristocrat
Superna Kalle, the former president of international at Starz, has joined Australian gaming and gambling tech company Aristocrat as chief strategy and content officer.
Reporting directly to Aristocrat CEO & managing director Trevor Croker, Kalle will be based in Los Angeles and will join the Sydney-headquartered firm on 9 October.
Croker said that Kalle will “play a pivotal role in driving our group growth strategy and leveraging Aristocrat’s industry-leading intellectual property across our operations.”
Kalle left Starz in March after spending five years expanding the company’s international SVOD business, overseeing the global expansion of Lionsgate+. Her departure came as part of a flurry of exits from the company and its parent Lionsgate, including Starz international programming chief Jeff Cooke and Marc Lorber, SVP of international TV co-productions and acquisitions at Lionsgate.
Prior to Starz, Kalle was an advisor to media companies including CBS/Showtime. She had previously spent 16 years at Sony Pictures Television as SVP & GM, launching networks including Sony Movie Channel and Cine Sony Television.
