Paramount’s Nicole Clemens & Imagine’s Sara Bernstein join MIA line-up in Rome

Italian production, financing and sales event Mercato Internazionale Audiovisivo (MIA) has unveiled the line-up for its event next month in Rome.

The ninth edition, which runs from 9-13 October at the Palazzo Barberini and Cinema Barberini, will feature keynotes and sessions with execs including Nicole Clemens, president of Paramount Television Studios (PTVS) and Paramount+ Original Scripted Series.

Clemens will talk about Paramount’s strategic production worldwide and will be joined at the event by Sara Bernstein, president of Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Documentaries, and Marge Dean Head of Skybound Entertainment’s Animation Studio.

Additional names announced for MIA talks include writer Ari Folman (Waltz With Bashir), Nicholas Weinstock (Escape at Dannemora) and James Townley, Banijay’s chief content officer.

Additional speakers will be announced in the coming weeks along with the full program of the market, which has confiremd the return of the Spanish Screenings on Tour and the MIA Buyers Club.

MIA is directed by Gaia Tridente and is focused on co-production, financing strategies and models, sales and distribution, works-in-progress, nurturing talent and project circulation.

It launched in 2015 and is a joint venture of ANICA (Italian Association of Film, Audiovisual and Digital Industries) and APA (Italian Audiovisual Producers Association).
