SPT’s UK producer Eleventh Hour lands C.M Ewan’s thriller ‘The House Hunt’

Alex Rider producer Eleventh Hour Films has optioned author C.M Ewan’s new thriller The House Hunt.

The novel, which was published today in the UK by Pan Macmillan, tells the story of a woman selling a home who meets a sinsiter prospective buyer who throws her life into disarray.

Eleventh Hour’s creative director Paula Cuddy, head of talent Eve Gutierrez and founder Jill Green are executive producers on the adaptation, alongside Ewan, whose previous books include The Interview and A Window Breaks.

The book is to be published in the US by Grand Central Publishing in 2024, but no broadcaster/streamer is yet attached to the adaptation.

Cuddy and Gutierrez said: “Chris takes a relatable, ordinary situation and masterfully tilts it on a knife-edge, delivering a tense and gripping story that twists and turns to the very end. We can’t wait to bring it to screen and produce a nerve-shredding rollercoaster ride for audiences.”

Sony Pictures Television-backed Eleventh Hour’s slate includes The Killing Kind for Paramount+ UK, Moonflower Murders for PBS Masterpiece and the BBC, and a reimagining of Ian Rankin’s Rebus novels.

The House Hunt deal was struck by WME on behalf of the Darley Anderson Literary Agency.
