Stan in Oz orders drama trio including show from ‘Bluey’ prodco Ludo Studios

Australian streamer Stan has ordered a trio of scripted series, including a drama from Bluey producer Ludo Studios.

Thou Shalt Not Steal is an eight-episode road series set in Central and South Australia in the 1980s that follows a young Aboriginal delinquent and an awkward teenager as they search for the truth behind a mysterious family secret,.

Ludo Studios produces and DCD Rights distributes, with Dylan River (Mystery Road: Origin) attached to direct. The series is executive produced for Since1778 Productions and Ludo Studio by Charlie Aspinwall and Daley Pearson (Bluey), and Sophie Miller (The Family Law), alongside producer Sam Moor (Bluey).

Exposure, meanwhile, is a six-episode mystery-thriller from Thirdborn set in coastal New South Wales, which is being sold by All3Media International.

The third commission is Invisible Boys, which is based on the book by author Holden Sheppard. The 10-parter is set in the regional town of Geraldton, Western Australia, and eplores what happens when a closeted gay teen’s hook-up with a married man is revealed on social media.

Banijay Rights is handling distribution.

Screen Australia, Screen NSW, Screenwest, Lotterywest, the WA Regional Screen Fund, Screen Territory and the South Australian Film Corporation are supporting the productions.
