BBC & BT Sport execs join IMG to head up multisport content production
Sports giant IMG has hired BT Sport’s Sally Brown and BBC Sport’s Steve Rudge to the newly created roles of VP & co-heads of multisport content for its production business.
Brown and Rudge will oversee IMG’s production relationships with UFC, EuroLeague, Super League Rugby, World’s Strongest Man, World Championship Snooker and Grand Slam Tennis.
The pair will also be responsible for driving business development and unearthing new commercial opportunities, leveraging other areas of IMG operations.
Brown, a former Sky exec, was most recently executive producer & commissioning editor for BT Sport Films, working on shows such as Irish rugby film Shoulder to Shoulder, motor sport documentary True Grit and Meatball Molly, which explores the rise of Molly McCann, the first English woman to win a UFC fight. She will take up her new role at IMG in September.
Rudge joins in October and was previously head of football at BBC Sport, working across the broadcaster’s coverage of World Cups and the UEFA Women’s Euros in 2022.
