Max renews ‘And Just Like That…’ for third outing
Warner Bros. Discovery streamer Max has renewed US comedy-drama And Just Like That… for a third season.
Word of the extension comes just a day before the Sex And The City follow-up series concludes its second season tomorrow (24 August).
And Just Like That… is developed and executive produced by Michael Patrick King, alongside executive producers John Melfi, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Julie Rottenberg and Elisa Zuritsky.
The show follows New Yorkers Carrie (Parker), Miranda (Nixon) and Charlotte (Davis) almost 20 years after the end of the original series as they continue to navigate life, love and friendship in their 50s.
Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at Max, said: “As we approach the highly anticipated season finale on Thursday, we raise our cosmos to Michael Patrick King and his magnificent team of writers, producers, cast and crew who continue to charm us, 25 years later, with dynamic friendships and engaging stories. We cannot wait for audiences to see where season three will take our favorite New Yorkers.”
King added: “We are thrilled to spend more time in the Sex And The City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters played by these amazing actors. And Just Like That… here comes season three.”
