C4 moves docs commissioning editor Janine Thomas to youth strand ‘Untold’

The UK’s Channel 4 has named Janine Thomas as commissioning editor for its youth strand, Untold.

Thomas will work across current affairs for Untold, which is into its second season and has been behind shows such as Inside The Shein Machine, Jessie Lingard, Life After Love Island and The Secrets Of UK Prisons.

She replaces Debbie Ramsay and reports into Louisa Compton, head of news & current affairs for specialist factual & sport.

Thomas was most recently working as a commissioning editor for documentaries, with credits on First Cut, First Dates and Night Coppers.

She was previously at Sky UK, where she worked on shows including Arrow Pictures’ Positive: 30 Years Of HIV In Britain.
