Exclusive: India’s Tulsea promotes Radhika Gopal to head writers & directors division
Mumbai- and LA-based talent and content management company Tulsea has promoted Radhika Gopal to head up its writers & directors division.
Gopal, who previously served as senior manager at the firm, will now oversee all Tulsea agents who represent Indian writers and directors, with Kill director Nikhil Batt among her clients.
She will also take charge of the business affairs, legal and commercial team that negotiates all talent deals – including actors and other talent deals beyond writers and directors – as well as the content team which evaluates and develops projects with Tulsea talent.
Gopal has been with Tulsea for nearly a decade, originally joining in 2014 as an associate in business development, and previously serving as an account executive at marketing communications firm Ogilvy & Mather.
Tulsea is a strategic media and content management company that represents Indian writers, directors, actors, producers, and production companies. Its clients include showrunners such as Bombay Begums’ Alankrita Shrivastava, Paatal Lok’s Sudip Sharma and Mirzapur’s Puneet Krishna.
Datta Dave, Tulsea partner & co-founder, told TBI: “Radhika has grown organically and incredibly as a talent manager since she joined Tulsea in 2014. She represents and is the trusted advisor to many of the country’s leading screenwriters, showrunners, and directors, including Sudip Sharma, Konkona Sen Sharma, Alankrita Srivastava and Prosit Roy. She and her team of managers and agents work closely with several upcoming writers and directors.
“As the first company to rep writers and directors in India, it’s wonderful to have Radhika – our first manager/trainee – rise to head the writers and directors division. High quality talent is core to Tulsea and our key mission of enabling great content in India and around the world,” said Dave.
