‘Rana Naidu’ producer Locomotive Global expands creative team

Locomotive Global, the Indian production firm behind local Ray Donovan remake Rana Naidu, has expanded its creative team with three new appointments.

Binitesh Baruri has been named creative producer for films, while Meghna Joshi has been appointed as creative producer for series, non-fiction and films, while Yuvika Sharma is joining as associate creative producer, series.

Baruri joins Locomotive with more than 20 years as a writer and filmmaker of short fiction and feature documentaries and previously headed the direction department at Whistling Woods International for over three years.

Joshi has worked on shows including Rising Star, Jhalak Dikhla Ja and IIFA Awards, while Sharma has worked with production houses channels and platforms including Sony Pictures Network, Discovery Communications, Zee TV, Eros International, and ALT Balaji.

Rana Naidu was recently renewed for a second season by Netflix India, with Aaron speaking to TBI about the making of the series last year.

The company has also partnered with Applause Entertainment on two projects, an international drama series Seeker, co-produced with Gurinder Chadha’s Bend It Films, and an episodic crime procedural co-produced with Simon Mirren, the showrunner for the US series Criminal Minds.
