Paramount + & Channel 5 visit Park Lane Hilton in Wonderhood docuseries
Paramount+ and UK broadcaster Channel 5 have commissioned Inside The Hilton On Park Lane (working title), a docuseries featuring exclusive access to the prestigious London hotel.
Produced by Wonderhood Studios, the 4 x 60-minute series goes behind the scenes at the hotel as it undergoes a multi-million-pound renovation.
To celebrate its 60th anniversary, the hotel, which has welcomed guests such as the Dalai Lama, Princess Diana and Cher, is undertaking a dramatic top-to-bottom transformation including the construction of a new lobby, restaurant, bar and newly designed rooms and suites.
The series offers access to the hotel’s team members, the builders, the designers and the guests to deliver a peek behind the doors of one of London’s most iconic hotels. From cooking competitions to unearth a new chef, sommeliers on their first day of training to the working life of the hotel’s general manager Matthew Mullan, the series delivers a fresh insight into what makes the hotel so special for its staff and guests.
The series is directed by Bill Bailey and produced and directed by Sam Wildman. The executive producers are Tom Anstiss (My Grandparents’ War & Dodi: Last Days of a Playboy) and Wonderhood’s creative director Samantha Anstiss. The production manager is Georgina Brown and Lianne Hickey is head of production. The series was commissioned by Kit Morey, Channel 5 and Paramount+, unscripted, commissioning editor.
