ABC Australia’s entertainment head, Nick Hayden, stepping down
Nick Hayden, head of entertainment at Australian pubcaster the ABC, is to depart at the end of next month.
Hayden’s exit comes amid a restructure of the business, which saw Netflix’s Chris Oliver-Taylor join earlier this year to head up a new content division.
The departing exec confirmed he will leave at the end of August to pursue new opportunities, having spent seven years at the ABC, including in his current post for the past four.
During his time at the ABC, Hayden oversaw a slate that included titles such as At Home Along Together, Whovians and The Weekly.
Rachel Miller, who currently serves as executive producer for entertainment and comedy, will take over his remit until a permanent replacement is found.
News of Hayden’s departure was first reported by TV Tonight.
