Fremantle elevates Roberta Zamboni to global head of branded content sponsorship
Fremantle has promoted Roberta Zamboni to the role of global head of branded content sponsorship.
Based in Milan, Italy, Zamboni will report directly to Andrea Scrosati, Fremantle’s global COO and CEO Continental Europe.
Her promotion follows the exit of Fremantle’s former global branded entertainment boss Samantha Glynne, who left in October to head up UTA’s new EMEA branch of its entertainment and culture marketing group.
In her new role, Zamboni will be responsible for introducing new business models and “streamlining the way Fremantle approaches bringing value” to branded entertainment. She will connect global brands with Fremantle content, build global partnerships and help each business tailor their local strategies.
Zamboni will be supported by Katie Deeley, VP of global branded content sponsorship, who has been a part of the team for the past nine years.
Originally joining Fremantle in 2017, over the past six years, Zamboni has led the branded partnership initiatives for Italy and is credited with forging more than 100 brand partnerships in the country.
Prior to joining Fremantle, Zamboni was the head of brand strategy at Twitter where she developed marketing solutions to enable brands to effectively engage with their target audiences.
“The success of our work comes from our creatives, our passion for content, our IP and our producers. But it also comes from our capacity to innovate and find new opportunities. For this reason, I am glad that we are strengthening our Global Branded Entertainment team with the promotion of Roberta,” said Scrosati.
Zamboni added that she is “ready to lead the charge in introducing ground-breaking business models and refining our strategic approach to deliver unparalleled value in branded entertainment on a global scale.”
