US media firm Wheelhouse is cooking up more programming with chef David Chang, following their recent work together on Hulu’s Secret Chef.

The new development and production pact will see Wheelhouse and Chang’s Majordomo Media developing and producing shows across entertainment, food, lifestyle, travel, sports and investment.

Wheelhouse, which was launched by Brent Montgomery and Jimmy Kimmel, and Majordomo added they will invest in companies as part of the partnership, as well as creating original content for FAST channel MajordomoTV, which was launched with LG Electronics.

For culinary content, the companies will utilise Majordomo’s new creative and production space located in downtown LA’s ROW DTLA, which has a 6,000-square-foot studio that includes two kitchens designed specifically for filming.

The alliance will also put “significant focus and resources” towards consumer product development, the companies said, with both Majordomo and Wheelhouse having previously worked on branded programming.

The deal follows the debut of Hulu’s cooking competition series Secret Chef, which was fronted by Chang and saw competitors anonymously ranking one another’s dishes through blind tastings. The show is produced by Majordomo, Wheelhouse’s Spoke Studios and Vox Media.

“There’s a lot of BS out there, and we just want to be the ones to cut through the noise and give people the knowledge and tools they need to cook, eat, travel, and live better,” said Chang.

“I’ve known Brent and Jimmy for a long time, and I’ve always admired the hell out of what they do. When we finally got to work together on Secret Chef, it really cemented for all of us that we could join forces to do something big and creative that brings value and joy to the world.”

“David is someone who rolls up his sleeves every day, literally,” added Montgomery. “No matter how successful he’s become in the culinary, media and business worlds, David wears his formula for success on those sleeves – and that’s combining bold creative and intense effort.”

Majordomo was co-founded by Chang, Christopher Chen, Chris Ying, and Noelle Cornelio. It has been behind shows such as Netflix’s Ugly Delicious, Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner, and Hulu’s The Next Thing You Eat, as well as podcasts The Dave Chang Show.
