‘Dinosaur With Stephen Fry’ among CEE pick-ups in Passion Distribution factual deals
Broadcasters across CEE have acquired more than 160 hours of factual programming, after striking deals with Passion Distribution.
In Poland, Polsat has acquired a package of including royal documentary Elizabeth: A Life Through The Lens (1 x 60-minutes) which takes a look back at the reign of Elizabeth II, and how she handled a life on screen. The documentary was produced by Unity House and originally aired on Channel 4 in the UK.
It has also picked up Dinosaur With Stephen Fry (4 x 60-minutes) a docuseries that tells the definitive story of 165 million from the dawn of the dinosaurs to their extinction. The series was produced by Mentorn Media and Kremplewood for Channel 5 in the UK. Other sales include documentary series Secrets Of The Superfactories and The Machinery Of War.
Additional sales in Poland include Kino Polska acquiring Beyond Our Earth (6 x 60-minutes) produced by Wildbear Entertainment; World’s Deadliest (13 x 60-minutes) from Back2Back Productions; Planes Gone Viral (8 x 60-minutes) produced by Pioneer Productions and Criminally Funny (40 x 60-minutes) produced by Workerbee for Comedy Central. Kino has also picked up Dynamo: Magician Impossible seasons three and four and special Dynamo: A-Z, from Phil McIntyre Television and Inner Circle Films.
TV JOJ in Slovakia has acquired a package of royal and history programming for their CS History, CS Mystery and JOJ PLAY channels, including Elizabeth: A Life Through The Lens, Before They Were Royal, The Great Plague and Jack The Ripper – The Definitive Story.
Meanwhile in Czechia, Prima has licensed a package of science programming including One Hour That Changed The World: The Moon Landing; How The Universe Works season two and Secrets Of The Superfactories. Further titles include Beyond Our Earth, Future Warfare and Architecture The Railways Built, seasons three and four.
