Tomorrow Studios has promoted Alissa Bachner to EVP of development, while Josh Bratman has joined the company to head up the expansion into feature films.

Bachner, who previously served as SVP at the firm, adds leadership of studio development deals to her role of developing and producing the company’s slate of TV dramas and comedies. She is executive producer of Apple TV+ dark comedy Physical and co-executive producer of TNT post-apocalyptic drama Snowpiercer.

Before joining Tomorrow Studios in 2016, Bachner served as VP of TV development at Peter Berg’s Film 44, where she oversaw the development slate for their deals at Fox and HBO. She began her career at ICM before shifting to television production working on series including Scrubs and Detroit 1-8-7, both for ABC.

Bratman, meanwhile, has been brought on as head of features to build a “robust slate for world-class filmmakers, actors, and screenwriters to fully realize their visions.”

Tomorrow Studios, which is a partnership between CEO and founder Marty Adelstein and ITV Studios, is currently working on titles including the third season of Physical for Apple TV+; 10-Year-Old Tom from its animation label Work Friends for Max; and a live action adaptation of One Piece for Netflix.

“As we continue our acquisition and development of unparalleled IP, and our work with the leading creatives in Hollywood, we want to maximize our storytelling ability for all formats and produce each project for the format that best tells its story, including opportunities for feature run/streamer double play,” said Adelstein and company president & partner Becky Clements.

“Josh brings a keen eye for developing feature films to the team, and Alissa’s instincts for television are consistently unmatched. We are excited for the greatness to come from them.”
