Nordisk Film Production recruits Lumière’s Marike Muselaers for int’l financing & co-productions

Danish firm Nordisk Film Production has appointed Lumière Group’s Marike Muselaers to the newly created role of head of international financing and co-production.

Muselaers will join the firm on 1 September and will be based in Sweden with responsibilities including strengthening the financing of film and series projects and developing a strategy for co-productions.

She arrives from her current role as chief content and partnerships officer at Benelux production group Lumière Group. She has also held roles at Fortissimo Films and RTL Netherlands.

Nordisk Film Production, which is owned by Nordisk Film, is led by Katrine Vogelsang, the former head of fiction at Denmark’s TV2, who joined as CEO last year. It is is behind Danish, Norwegian and Swedish films and series, such as Viaplay’s Fenris.

She said that Muselaers brings “extensive experience in international financing, co-productions, acquisitions and business development” to the position.

“At Nordisk Film Production, we want to strengthen the financing of our projects and increasingly be a strong and solid production partner with other companies. Marike will play a key role in this,” she added.
