LGBTQ+ TV & streaming service OUTtv has made it first original UK commissions, with orders for unscripted interactive comedy series Rosie Runs Riot and stand-up comedy series Live At The Queer Comedy Club.

Both shows will launch on OUTtv globally later this year, and simultaneously on its UK channel Froot.tv.

Rosie Runs Riot is a 6 x 15-minute series following drag queen Rosie Beaver as she pounds the pavements of London, making new friends, playing games and causing havoc. Each week Rosie engages the general public about whatever is on her brain and will be joined by special guests from the London drag scene including Miss Moppe, LoUis CYfer and Richard Energy.

Meanwhile, Live At The Queer Comedy Club is a 6 x 22-minute stand-up comedy series featuring a selection of comedians performing live at The Queer Comedy Club in North London. Each show will feature one of the founders of The Queer Comedy Club as MC and two special guest performers picked from the club’s roster of amazing LGBTQ+ talent.

Philip Webb, COO of OUTtv said: “Comedy is such a rich, expressive genre, and we are excited to have two completely different shows which speak to the queer experience as our first ever UK commissions.”

These UK orders come just days after OUTtv commissioned two other new original series – heartfelt dramedy We Three Queens, and documentary I Work From Home.
