Fremantle merges Nordic labels Monster & Fremantle Norway

Pørni

Fremantle is to merge two of its Norwegian production companies, Monster and Fremantle Norway, under the Monster label.

The merged company will be led by Monster CEO, Ingvild Daae, while Petter Testmann-Koch, who has spent the best part of a decade as CEO of Fremantle Norway, is stepping down. Testmann-Koch will not be a part of the newly combined company, but Fremantle said he will be available to assist with the transition process.

The consolidated Monster, which is behind titles including comedy-drama Pørni, will sit alongside Fremantle’s other Norwegian businesses; Novemberfilm, One Big Happy Family, event group Playroom, Rakett and Strix TV.

“I believe we will be stronger in the future by gathering passion, creativity and talent in one place and continue to produce world-class drama, documentaries, feature films, factual series, podcasts and entertainment shows,” said Daae.

Fremantle’s CEO for Northern Europe, Georgette Schlick, added that the merged company would forge “an even stronger Norwegian business and team.”
