Quintus Studios unveils diverse factual slate for MIPTV

Mission to Collision: Kenya’s Flying Trucks

Factual content distributor and channel owner Quintus Studios has unveiled a broad line-up of factual co-production projects that it will introducing to buyers at MIPTV.

The line-up includes series focused on death-defying truckers on Kenya’s most dangerous highways, a study on the brutality of homelessness in Las Vegas and ex-convict stories from some of the toughest prisons in the world. All the shows being pitched to buyers have pilot episodes completed or are currently in production.

The first title, Mission to Collision: Kenya’s Flying Trucks, is an access led documentary series, which focuses on Kenyan truckers transporting perishable local products along dangerous roads. Produced by Africa Live Media for Quintus Originals, there is currently a 1 x 60 minute pilot with plans for a five-part series.

Other titles include Poverty to Paradise: Las Vegas (5 x 60’ New Take); Banged Up: My Story (5 x 60’ Middlechild Productions); and Wild Cats (1 x 60’ KM Plus).

Anouk van Dijk, head of sales and co-productions at Quintus Studios, said: “Each of these titles is unique with its own style and yet they all perfectly fit the Quintus catalogue where we focus on fast, exciting and truly engaging content for our audience – both on our channels and for the broadcasters we work with.”

Quintus Studios will also be debuting a slate of finished programming at the market.
