Banijay’s Electric Robin eyes long-form with new roles for Vinny Basra & Chris Jones
Banijay-owned Electric Robin has restructured its senior ranks as it looks to expand its longform originals, with Simply Raymond Blanc producer Vinny Basra and Chris Jones taking new roles.
Basra becomes head of TV at Electric Robin, while Jones has been named creative director.
The prodco works with numerous brands but is looking to expand its longform productions, having been behind shows such as Niall Horan’s Homecoming: The Road to Mullingar With Lews Capaldi for Prime Video and Game On Grandparents for CBBC.
Jones first joined Electric Robin in 2015 and will lead creative ideas for broadcasters, streamers and brands, while Basra will be responsible for furthering the prodco’s original IP across non-branded.
He will work closely with head of partnerships, Adam Kaczmarski, as well as retaining a focus on traditional commissions.
Electric Robin MDs, Ross Brandon & Kevin Batchelor, said: “Chris brings a creative mind that melds both innovation and strategy and Vinny approaches his work with a point of view that enhances our way of making programmes. We want to build on our low-cost, high-quality programme making, giving Chris and Vinny the ideal tools needed for success.”
