Breeders producer Avalon has appointed Unanimous Media president Jenelle Lindsay as EVP of television.

Based in LA, Linsday will oversee the creative team developing and producing scripted series for the studio and work closely with company’s client roster of actors, writers and directors, which includes names such as John Oliver, Daniel Radcliffe and Russell T Davies – and expanded following its acquisition of talent firm The Agency in 2020.

Alongside her hiring, David Martin, who launched Avalon’s US business nearly 20 years ago, will become executive director, overseeing the US artist management team and continuing to executive produce various active television projects.

Lindsay joins the company on 6 March, arriving from Unanimous Media, where she served as president and oversaw titles including ABC’s Holey Moley, Apple TV+ film Underrated and Netflix animation Good Times.

Prior to Unanimous Media, she served as SVP of development and production at Sony Pictures Television, and SVP of development and production at Ashton Kutcher’s Katalyst Media.

Avalon is behind titles including the comedy series Breeders for FX/Hulu/Sky, as well as satirical news show Last Week Tonight With John Oliver for HBO and Starstruck for HBO Max and the BBC.

Avalon Group CEO Laura Kennedy said that Lindsay has “impeccable taste, an exceptional eye for talent, and is highly respected by executives and talent alike” and added: “[we] know that she will curate a distinctive slate of projects and continue to propel the scripted business forward.”
