News round-up: TV Prima to ‘Sort Your Life Out’; Escapade Media travels ‘Whisky Trails’

Sort Your Life Out

TV Prima to ‘Sort Your Life Out’

TV Prima in the Czech Republic has ordered a local version of Optomen Television’s entertainment format Sort Your Life Out.

Produced by Media One & Core Production, the Czech version marks the tenth territory to adapt the format since it launched on BBC One in the UK a little more than a year ago.

Other adaptations include New Zealand, where Warner Bros. Discovery commissioned a version from South Pacific Pictures and Sweden, with TV4 commissioning a series from Strix. The format is distributed by All3Media International.

Sort Your Life Out assembles a team of experts to help transform a nation’s most-cluttered homes. First, they strip homes bare, then they’ll lay all the possessions out in a giant warehouse resembling an art installation of their entire lives, before asking the family to decide what to keep and what to throw away.

After recycling, donating or selling the items the family don’t want, the team refill the house with the items they do – putting storage solutions in place and transforming the home before the big reveal.

Whisky Trails

Escapade Media travels ‘Whisky Trails’

Australian disributor Escapade Media has acquired worldwide sales rights to Britestar Productions new travel and lifestyle series, Whisky Trails.

The 10 x 30-minute series follows host Luke McKenzie as he travels from the New World whiskies of Australia, Japan, India, and the USA back to the Old World of Ireland and Scotland on a personal quest to taste all the colours of the whisky rainbow.

Natalie Lawley, Escapade Media MD, said: “Whisky Trails is a truly global series, about one of the most consumed drinks in the world. It offers a very engaging insight into whisky, both new and old, combined with travel, culture and a lot of entertainment.”
