Apple TV+ spins off ‘Mythic Quest’ with comedy ‘Mere Mortals’
AppleTV+ has ordered Mere Mortals, a spin-off to its workplace comedy series Mythic Quest.
Lionsgate, 3 Arts Entertainment and Ubisoft will return to produce the new show, written by Mythic Quest star Ashly Burch, alongside John Howell Harris and Katie McElhenney.
Mythic Quest creators Megan Ganz, Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day will executive produce, alongside David Hornsby, Nick Frenkel, Michael Rotenberg, Jason Altman and Margaret Boykin.
Mythic Quest is currently in its third season on Apple TV+ and follows the people working at a video game studio on an MMORPG of the same name. Mere Mortals will explore the lives of employees, players, and fans who are impacted by the game.
The series will an Apple TV+ comedy slate that also includes Ted Lasso, Bad Sisters, Schmigadoon, Physical, Trying, The Afterparty and the upcoming Shrinking.
