Fox Entertainment bolsters unscripted team following Rob Wade promotion
Allison Wallach has been promoted to president of unscripted programming at Fox Entertainment in the US.
Wallach most recently served as EVP and head of Fox Entertainment’s unscripted studio Fox Alternative Entertainment, and will assume the role opened after Rob Wade’s promotion to CEO of Fox Entertainment in October.
Reporting to Wade, Wallach will now be responsible for overseeing Fox’s unscripted programming, specials and alternative development slate, include titles such as The Masked Singer, Next Level Chef, MasterChef, MasterChef Junior, Hell’s Kitchen, I Can See Your Voice, Crime Scene Kitchen, LEGO Masters, Domino Masters, Name that Tune, and the upcoming series Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars and Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
She will also manage Gordon Ramsay’s production label Studio Ramsay Global, the entertainment brand TMZ and will continue to be responsible for Fox Alternative Entertainment.
A new EVP and head of in-house production will be named in the coming weeks to replace Wallach.
Wallach joined Fox Alternative Entertainment in February 2020, and was responsible for identifying, developing and producing unscripted programming both for Fox and third-party platforms. Shows produced under her purview included The Masked Singer, Next Level Chef, I Can See Your Voice, and Crime Scene Kitchen.
Prior to joining Fox Entertainment, Wallach was president of Jupiter Entertainment, which she joined in 2015, and before that was an agent in United Talent Agency’s alternative television department.
Wallach also served as SVP of programming at BBC Worldwide Productions from 2008 to 2010 and as VP of programming at Lifetime Television.
“Since joining us — in early 2020, no less – Allison has played a critical role in navigating Fox Alternative Entertainment through one of the most arduous chapters the television business has ever witnessed and, in doing so, helped build it into a key growth driver for Fox Entertainment,” said Wade. “Fox Alternative Entertainment has greatly expanded its global presence under Allison’s leadership, and, in her hands, I am confident Fox’s unscripted portfolio will continue to enjoy similar success.”
Fox Entertainment has also promoted Yasmin Rawji to the newly created position of EVP, unscripted – network, in which capacity she will take responsibility for Fox’s reality slate and report directly to Wallach.
She previously served as SVP of alternative entertainment, working on shows including The Masked Singer, Next Level Chef, Crime Scene Kitchen and Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer.
Before Fox, Rawji worked in production, serving as a senior producer on Dancing With The Stars and America’s Got Talent, and as a producer on Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, The Millionaire Matchmaker – Celebrity Edition and The X Factor.
