‘Connected’ prodco Envision lands investment from Tetra Pak heir
Magnus Rausing, heir to the multi-billion dollar Tetra Pak business, has made an undisclosed investment in London-based Envision Entertainment.
Rausing will also join Envision’s board and support the company’s global growth plans, following the launch of Nippon TV coproduction Connected: The Homebound Detective, which debuted in Japan earlier this year.
Michael Nakan, Envision founder & chief content officer, said the investment would enable his company to expand its team and slate of scripted projects.
Nakan added: “Magnus is the rare investor who is able to help scale every investment he makes. I greatly admire his previous investments in media, tech and sustainability, and I am thrilled to welcome a partner who shares our vision to create hit franchises with global appeal.”
Rausing, who recently backed Alex Pettyfer’s Dark Dreams Entertainment, said: “I am excited to support Envision early in their mission to create a cultural franchise and look forward to working with them closely.”
