He also has credits on docs and dramas, having been behind shows such as Last Flight To Kuwait and Moonshot – The Spirit Of ’69.

Buck’s appointment follows the recent hire of former BBC Studios exec Doug Mackay-Hope as SVP of development & production to work across Wildstar’s expanding slate. It shows include Epic Adventures With Bertie Gregory for Disney+ and National Geographic, with the latter also commissioning America’s National Parks.

Two feature-length films for Disney are also in the works, as well as several wildlife series for Disney+ and National Geographic Channel, including doc Sentient.

Buck will also be identifying and developing under-represented female editing talent, continuing the role he has begun for Wildstar’s Queens series, and providing ongoing training to editors and edit producers from diverse backgrounds, as part of the company’s commitment to diversifying the talent pool within blue chip factual production.

Vanessa Berlowitz and Mark Linfield, co-founders of Wildstar Films, described Buck as an “experienced, creative force”.
