Apple orders immigration anthology series from Big Sick duo
Apple has ordered immigrant anthology series Little America from The Big Sick’s Lee Eisenberg and Alan Yang.
Based on true stories from Epic Magazine, the series will explore the funny, romantic, heartfelt, inspiring, and surprising stories of immigrants in America.
Eisenberg (The Office) and Yang (Master of None) will executive produce. Writers include The Big Sick’s Kumail Nanjiani, Emily V. Gordon and Eisenberg. Epic’s Joshuah Bearman and Joshua Davis will also exec produce.
Universal Pictures is the overall producer of the show.
Earlier this week, Apple also signed Oprah Winfrey to a multiyear deal for an undisclosed amount. The tech company is creating a slate of originals including projects from Reese Witherspoon and Steven Spielberg.
