CBS names drama chief following Davis exit
Long-serving CBS Entertainment exec Yelena Chak will succeed Christina Davis as the Eye Network’s head of drama development.
In her new post, Chak will report to Thom Sherman, who took over programming at the network along with Kelly Kahl in May.
Chak has been with CBS for ten years, and will now oversee all drama series development, following Davis’s departure in July.
She has worked on shows such as Bull, The Good Wife, Scorpion and Madam Secretary during her tenutre.
Chak has previously worked for UTA, NBC and Jerry Bruckheimer Television.
She now makes up part of CBS’s new look programming team, with Sharon Vuong and Amy Reisenbach taking on new posts within the last few months.
“I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Yelena in action for the last three months, and it quickly became clear that she is the right person for the job,” said Sherman.
“She has excellent relationships in the community, as evidenced by the overwhelming number of calls I’ve received singing her praises not only as a great executive, but a great person.”
