Amazon Prime Video has picked up Israeli romantic comedy series The Baker and The Beauty, making it available across 200 territories.
Prime Video will be the premium subscription streaming home for seasons one and two, the latter of which is currently airing in Israel, with both seasons amounting to 20 half-hour episodes.
The romantic comedy follows a love story between a simple baker and an international superstar.
The Baker and the Beauty, created and written by Assi Azar (Big Brother Israel) for Keshet Broadcasting, has previously been successfully adapted in The Netherlands for Net 5.
Keren Shahar, COO at Keshet International and president of distribution said: “Owing to its totally universal appeal and uncompromising high production values, The Baker and the Beauty has found itself another new home on one of the world’s most prestigious content platforms, Amazon Prime Video.
“Following the acquisition of The A Word for US Prime members, we’re delighted to be in business with Amazon again, and this time on a global level.”
Prime members will be able to stream the show from later this year via the Amazon Prime Video app for TVs, connected devices, mobile devices and online.
