One Born Every Minute spin-off set for All 4
Six of the 250-plus children born on Channel 4 factual series One Born Every Minute will watch their first seconds of life in a spin-off for digital platform All 4.
I Was Born on One Born will be a short-form series featuring six children, now primary school-age, who will watch censored footage of their first minutes alive to gain understanding of how they came to be.
One Born Every Minute, which Dragonfly produces and Endemol Shine International sells around the world, is a fixed-rig format set in a British hospital following the day-to-day life of a labour ward.
It has been a consistent ratings winner for Channel 4 since its launch in 2010.
Dragonfly will produce the shorts, which debut in April. “The new All 4 series is a fantastic twist on a much loved format and is indicative of the innovation at the heart of the show,” said Richard Bond, the company’s creative director.
“It will be filled with the same warmth and life-affirming moments for which this ever popular series is known and which are in abundance in the next Channel 4 series.”
